About Shanti House Association

The Shanti House Association is a home, a family, a wraparound facility in which homeless, runaway, and youth at risk ages 14-21 who have suffered physical violence, sexual abuse, delinquency and more, find their strengths through proven therapeutic and rehabilitative processes in order to choose a different path in life.

Since its establishment in 1984 the Shanti House Association has cared for thousands of young people in immediate danger on the streets. These youth come to Shanti House from all over Israel, from all population’s strata regardless of religion, race, sex or gender. Some arrive independently and others are referred by the authorities and welfare departments.

The Association operates two homes: Shanti House in Tel Aviv, and the Desert Shanti Youth Village in the Negev Desert. In 2023 the Association will establish a new home in Jerusalem.
